what size do i get for my 45 lb Australian Shepherd?
A shopper on Jul 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'd say LARGE. We just ordered a MED for our 46 lb Sharpei Mix, and it is too small. He has big knuckles and a severely bowed leg and the M was too impossible to put on! So we are returning for a Large. :)
How does it attach to the leg ?
A shopper on Feb 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sadly, it just slips on over the leg. For us it was hard because our dog has really knobby knuckles/paws, a severely bowed leg, and very bulky elbows. It was nearly impossible to get on and once we did, it wouldn't stay where it was needed. I had to cut it and sew in a zipper, which, to be honest, still just works out OK.
Can an active hunting dog run with it?
A shopper on Nov 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would think so. We bought a large for our senior yellow lab to keep from licking her leg & it did work. My only suggestion would be to buy a little larger size. We worried that it might be too tight on her leg.
Is a small the smallest there is?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: yes, small is the smallest size that we carry
