Product Summary:

Trifexis® Chewable Tablets for Dogs

Trifexis is a monthly, chewable tablet for dogs that kills fleas, prevents heartworm disease, and treats and controls adult hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm infections. Trifexis combines two trusted active ingredients to provide protection for your dog against these dangerous parasites. Trifexis starts working within 30 minutes from administration of this medicine to kill fleas and has been proven to kill all biting fleas within four hours. Trifexis also kills flea eggs before they can mature, which puts an end to the flea life cycle. Trifexis prevents heartworm disease by killing microfilariae and larvae from maturing into adult heartworms. Trifexis comes in a tasty beef-flavored tablet (made from pork liver and hydrolyzed soy) for ease of administration to your dog.

Use with caution in dogs with pre-existing epilepsy. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. This medication is generally well tolerated with other commonly prescribed medications. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Great Price on this wonderful medication!
My 5 dachshunds have been on this for their lifetimes! Never had a flea! They say it is chewable, but Frankie, Maggie, Ian, Jazzy and Sunny say "NO WAY!" I hide their PILL in a piece of cheese or lunch meat and down it goes! Their check-ups are great and none of them has ever tested positive for any worms at all. Love this product, and have no problem with it.

Tablets too big
I have a 18 month old German Shepherd and he will not chew the tablets. Cutting them up in pieces and putting the pieces in meat doesn't work either. Peanut butter doesn't work. He smells whatever you give him, takes it in his mouth and spits the pill out. Only way to get it into him is wrap cheese around it and give him a piece of the cheese that has no pill and follow it with another piece that has the pill VERY QUICKLY. Seems they could make the tablet tasty somehow.

Because it kills fleas and protects against infestation, prevents heartworm disease, and also treats and controls adult hookworms, roundworm and whipworm infestations. All of this in one chewable tablet. With some other medicines you have to buy 2 different medicines and it will cost a little more than Trifexis.
