I purchased this ball for my German Shepherd who has destroyed every large ball she has. I'm hoping this one lasts more than 1 week.
Patty M on Jun 30, 2016
I'm hoping from the comments I read that my lab won't chew up this ball (toy). Usually within 10-15 minutes, I have to discard any toys I've gotten lately. There is a brand of dog toys that have been great and are still un-chewed in our house, but we have most of what they offer, so I wanted to add another ball (toy) that she doesn't have, to her collection. Hope I won't be throwing it away :-)
Betsy J on Jun 7, 2016
my son has 2 German Shepard's and they have destroyed every toy they've ever had so I'm on a mission to find them some toys that will last for a while.

Good ratings, good size range.
Geoffrey R on Feb 4, 2016
My dog loves to play with balls just larger than what he can fit in his mouth. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in a material that cannot be chewed and destroyed. This looks exactly like what we are looking for. We have a small cocker spaniel and opted for the 6" ball.
Crystal D on Jan 24, 2016
tennis balls getting destroyed, my APBT was able to chomp down like a Gator and was able to puncture and flatten a tennis ball wow... these should be great to use and he cant pull the felt off these like he does with the tennis balls. I will use 800petsupplies from now on.
Carlos G on Jan 5, 2016
my dog is hard on toys

I have an English Bulldog that loves to chase around basket and soccer balls. Unfortunately, he pierces every single ball that I purchased for him. I was searching for a tough extra large rubber ball that he could not pick up. After reading the reviews, this one seemed fit the bill.
DELLA C on Sep 25, 2015
I have had a large one of these for over 12 years and it really is virtually indestructible. Both of my dogs have used it and now I'm ordering a small one for my grand puppy!

This is an excellent ball for exercising our huge german shepperd. He loves it! It is well made and basically indestructible, except when it rolls into a fire, which is why I am reordering and getting 2! I would highly recommend this toy!!!

Tracy B on Feb 23, 2014
I had one of these balls for over 10 years and it just now broke. I think it broke because we have had such cold weather and it was outside and froze and when I threw it, it busted. My dog loves this ball.
Dixie E on Jan 27, 2014

How big around is the 6" ball?
Betsy J on Jun 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is pretty small. I have the 14 inch for my dog and she pushes it around with her legs and her snout. She is about 74 pounds. She loves it. It's the only thing she wants to play with outside. I guess it depends on what size your dog is.
Our English Mastiff got a Varsity Ball. He has been to vet for swollen joints above his feet. It is so hard that it hurts his legs when he plays. I wonder if this ball is the same thing..He loves the ball, but we had to take it away from him because of this . I wanted to know, if this is the same ball?
A shopper on Sep 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, yes it is probably very similar. It is made of a very hard plastic. My bulldog loves it since its indestructible but since it's so hard it might hurt your baby's leg. Hopefully this helps!!! Any other questions don't hesitate to ask!!!
what size should I buy for a german shephard? 6" or 10"?
Ruthie R on Sep 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Honestly, neither. We got a 10" and a 14" for our GSD when she was 6 months old. She loved them, and they would occupy her for hours. A few months later, we noticed very heavy wear on her lower front canines. She would "herd" the balls around the back yard, keeping herself amused, but she would use her mouth to do it. After we took the balls away, the abnormal tooth wear stopped. It was great fun for her to play with the balls, and us to watch it, but not at the expense of her teeth. She is now almost 3 years old, and I still curse myself when I see the damage I allowed to happen to her canines.
Are these balls hollow and will they float?
Clay W on May 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are hollow. It is a hard plastic but bounces very well and our black lab loves it. I do not know if they will float but I would assume they will.
Is this ball hollow or solid? If it is punctured, will it go flat? Is it rubber or plastic?
A shopper on Jun 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The ball is solid plastic and hollow. My Stafford shire Bull Terrier loves it and will chase it around till she is exhausted. It is very tough but no totally indestructible. If I leave her alone with it, she can get the ball in a corner and chew one spot continuously and put a whole in it. I have tried numerous balls and so far this one is the best.
What size for a dachshund?
A shopper on May 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: i would suggest the 6 in, i purchased two 10 in and a 14 in and I have three English bulldogs, the 10 is just fine and the 14 is a bit bigger but its still good and they are able to maneuver it and climb half their bodies on it.
What are the color options for the 10 inch balls? How do we designate our choice of color?
Blindchick on Oct 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do apologize for the inconvenience, however, these balls do not have a set color option. They are assorted options from the manufacturer.
Lab/pit 45 lbs learning to retrieve best size please.?
Ginger P on Sep 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You would probably have to get the smallest one because they are very hard and he won't be able to bite it, so he will have to just mouth it to pick it up. I got the largest one for my dog because she likes to push it around the yard with her snout and her legs. That's all she will play with most of the time. She loves it!
