Good Sturdy toy
I have been buying 1 dog puzzle for Christmas a year for my 60-lb. Dalmatian mix. He now has 6 puzzles--this was my most recent one. I like the wood puzzles because they don't tend to go flying when he's working on them. He likes this one--caught on to it right away. I think it's a good one, and so does he!

Really Challenges Our Dog
We have an extremely active lab/bc mix. I bought both this puzzle and the flip and flap one and it didn't take her long to figure it out. It does buy you a little time while they work the puzzle. The quality leaves room for improvement. Seems to be made from particle board. After the treats are gone my pup tries to chew on the puzzle. Challenge wise, it's a good puzzle to keep them busy.

A great way to keep him occupied for a while
I just put some kibble in the little compartments and then let my dog at it... it will keep him occupied and happy for several minutes. He looks forward to playing with it.

I hadthis item before and my dog absolutely loved it. It's made of wood and has three levels so your dog has to use his nose to twerl the three circles to find the treats. I used to use his low fat regular kibble and he ate his meals from this slowly while having fun!

Our puppy obeys so much better if he has had a mental workout with his puzzle toys. They are great when the weather is bad or if he is bored. After a half hour of puzzle play, he is down for a long nap!

Puppies love getting into things, they love working out puzzles, and they love snacking. This puzzle meets all three needs. He's gotten pretty good at this so it is less effective now - but when we first got it he would spend 20 minutes playing with it.
