Profender
Profender is a topical feline dewormer that treats and controls ascarids, hookworms and tapeworms. Profender combines powerful, broad-spectrum coverage of intestinal worms with the ease and convenience of a single dose treatment.

For use:
Cats (at least 8 weeks of age and weighing over 2.2 lbs)

Cautions:
Profender Topical Solution is not for use in kittens less than 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 2.2 lbs (1 kg). The safety of this medication has not been evaluated in pregnant, breeding, or nursing animals. Use with caution in sick or debilitated cats. If you are pregnant, or may become pregnant, avoid direct contact with medication and wear disposable gloves when applying this product. Wait 24 hours while the product is being absorbed through your cat's skin before coming in contact with the application site. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Do not massage the product into the skin, apply to broken skin or wet hair coat, or apply to the pet’s mouth and eyes. Keep your pet off furniture until the product is dry. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
Side effects:
A small percentage of cats may temporarily lose their hair and have slight inflammation at or near the site of application. The following possible side effects have been observed: vomiting, loose stools or diarrhea with or without blood, loss of appetite, drowsiness, salivation, rapid breathing and muscle tremors. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
Usage:
Profender should be applied topically as directed by your veterinarian.
