Good for five finches to live in...
I orginally bought this for a summer outdoor flight cage and was not going to use it for a while. That is untill my finches started raising a familyand three more were born. It works great for this purpose, all the doors work well, is easy to clean and I use both ends as feeding stations. I've hung a few nests on the back. I also have two swings and a mirror perch for them in it. I ran the wooden perches at two different levels one in front, one in back, this still leaves plenty of room for them to fly around. Throw in some spray millet and they are a happy flock.

My finches need room to exercise their wings - I have several of these cages already and they provide the perfect amount of room for 1 - 2 finches. Easy to clean with the pull out tray too! Several doors to access their food dishes - fantastic cage for the price. One note though - after I assemble it I pinch the hooks closed for safety since I stack my cages on top of each other.

This cage allows flight when perches are placed on the right and left sides for small finches. They are great for stacking as breeding cages, but much wider in size.

I chose this cage to move my finches in my van from Illinois to New Mexico. It is roomy but also fits easily in my van (I m ordering three as I have about 16 finches). Also, the reviews already here encourage me that this will be a great choice!

Win-win for 4 parakeets and me. They need the space to flap their wings and not too big a cage for my apt.

Does the door slide up or open to the side?
A shopper on Jun 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The large front door has a smaller door within it. The large door slides up and is made so that when it is all the way open it stays up at a slight tilt. The smaller door on the front also slides up but does not stay up on it's own. There is also a small side door on the right side that opens from right to left and it is on a spring.
What color is the cage?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is white.
Is there a floor or handing stand available for this cage?
Alan S on Feb 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It doesn't appear we have the size for the cage you're looking at. We do have some cages that come with the stands that you may be interested in.
What is th width Of this cage. I have lg doves. Oldest is 26 yrs old. Periodically need new cages. Can't find good sized cages that will fit in a mobile home & the birds are comfortable moving around in. Doves bodies sit across the perch, not in an upright position like a cockatiel. I have a hard time finding cages that they can move freely without tail feathers poking through bars & shredding?
