This system is wonderful. No burying a cable. Train your dog on it a couple of times, and just the sound of the collar will keep them from leaving. You can also take the unit with you when you travel!

Worth the money
I bought this wireless system almost 2 years ago, I paid a bit more (at TSC) than what this website is asking. Only had 1 problem with it...just recently had to replace the collar (receiver went bad). Called the company on their 800 number and within 2 days, for a small fee, had a new collar. This system has kept my very inquisitive and active 85 pound dobie in his yard. I can go about yardwork, gardening, ect. and allow my dog to run about the yard and I don't have to worry about him runing after a stray cat or whatever scurries through our property and across the street. He knows his boundry and will stop long before the collar gives off the warning beeps. I know at 1st glance that this system may seem a bit pricey....but it's a small price to pay for peace of mind and safety of your four legged kid!

wonderful
I don't know what I would do without this. Brook is now 9 years old and ran wild until we bought this. We tried the remote to push the button, but she would be gone before you could push the button. I don't have to worry about her anymore, and we have this for 4 years. Even if the batteries go dead, she stays in the yard. I have recommended this to several people. I found out about it from my Vet. Love It!!!

Does this just send a beeping noise to your dog, or is there an adjustable shock as well? Is there a weight min/max on this unit?

How does this work around houses?
Margaret K on Mar 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Best thing we could've bought for our dog. To get the best possible range for your dog, place the hub in a centralized location in your house near the are you want to keep your dog contained to. The unit is about 1 sq ft in size. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the shock when he goes out of bounds. Our dog got shocked by it maybe twice in each direction before he realized how far he could go. The nice thing about it is the warning tone. The collar beeps 3 times when the dog is nearing the boundary. They get used to those beeps, and come back in to the safe zone before getting shocked. Eventually, we let him out without the collar. He now knows his bounderies and no longer needs it. Every now and again he gets cocky and goes further than he should, but we just strap the collar back on him to remind him of where he needs to be. The batteries for the collar don't last too long, but are inexpensive. Each battery lasts about 3-4 months if used on a daily basis. My advice is to order some online in advance so you always have a backup battery or two. Good luck, I recommend spending the money on it.
Can the range be adjusted? Must the contaiment area be only a full circle?
Boyd M on Apr 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The range is adjustable, but will only work in a circular pattern.
