I am tired of having to sweep and vacuum up litter every day. I am hoping my baby takes to it and is cleaner.

Price was right, I am hoping that the top entry will keep the litter more contained and that my dogs won't be able to get their big heads into it. One of my kitties is getting a little older and is pudgy so hopefully she won't have any issues getting in and out of the box. But at the price I paid if it doesn't work out the loss isn't too great.

To try something different because the enclosed lid on our litter box does not keep the urine inside the box.

It was the cheapest top entry litter box on Google Shopping! I researched all over Amazon, Petco, and PetSmart. This was the best price! :)

Genevieve E on Oct 19, 2016
My cat gets urine outside of her current box, which is rather tall. Hope this will fix the problem.
Bryan C on Oct 12, 2016
Tired of cats kicking litter out the front flap of our current litter box and not using it. Needed one for each cat.
Brandon W on Oct 4, 2016
I am hoping the top entry litter box will cut down on litter collecting on the floor.
Celeste G on Sep 27, 2016
The first time I saw this litter box I thought it was a good remedy for keeping litter contained. I have a new kitten and decided to purchase one. I read the reviews and that gave me the confidence to purchase from this seller. The purchase experience was easy to navigate.
Denise H on Sep 12, 2016
Great litter box for those kitties with high aim! One of my cats pees over the top or between the top and bottom of regular litter boxes, I'm replacing all my boxes to this one! No more pee on the floor, it also keeps the litter more contained and not tossed all over the place.
I have a Clever Cat box litter box that is in this same style, it is much more expensive at about 40$. So, I was very happy to find this one! I've ordered 3 of them.
Kaja K on Sep 5, 2016
My cats are eating the litter from their paws which is toxic and causing intestinal problems. My vet suggested this type of litter box because of the design as well as the grate on top. Crossing fingers!

Currently own one. Works great and reduces mess.

I have a dog that will not stay out of the litter boxes-apparently they house his favorite treats. I am hoping that these litter boxes will end the resulting constant litter everywhere, and the overall disgust I feel towards my pooch when he comes at me so happy with litter all over his nose haha!

Many 5 star reviews and best possible price.
Daena B on Jul 20, 2016
My cat is tall and has a long tail, she goes over the edge sometimes. Also, I keep buying rug pieces to catch litter which I end up sweeping everyday on my kitchen floor. I hope she doesn't feel confined and appreciates the privacy.
Bonnie H on Jul 20, 2016
my friend bought this and loved it. was looking for a litter box that reduced litter scatter.

I am hoping it will contain the kitty litter granules better than the swinging door litter box I have now. The price is reasonable.

I needed something for my second cat that would both keep the area clean and keep the dogs out of it. This product for the best results.
Tiffanie L on Apr 15, 2016
My 3 cats love to kick out litter from their litter box and do not want to use a covered one and they are too big to fit into most covered litter boxes. I had bought one to try it out and they liked it. Plus, they leave less of a mess to clean up on the floors.
Rochelle B on Apr 11, 2016
love top entry pans- they help contain the smell and mess
Sarah H on Apr 9, 2016
Needed to replace the pan for downstairs that lost its door last week (broken), and I liked this style, which I bought last year and have it upstairs in the utility room, since it was a great buy, easy to clean, and perfect for the kitty-girl that refuses to squat.

have been through 2 litters boxes and my cat still manages to get litter EVERYWHERE, so wanted to try a top entry litter box. looked at this one and the clever cat top entry, and this one is almost 20 bucks cheaper and they didn't seem to be much different except the price.

Is there a bigger size?
A shopper on Sep 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I think they only have one size. My big boy (18 pounds and 20 inches long not including the tail uses this without a problem). All of my cats have gotten used to this.
Does the cat's nails get caught in the holes in the lid?
My guess is this is possible.
How can the holes be modified or covered?
Essie R on May 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My two cats use this litterbox with ease. They have never had a problem with the holes in the lid. They both will sometimes sit or walk around on the top of the box, since it is near a window. I don't think the holes have any effect on their feet or nails.

I have one other cat, who avoids this litterbox. He just doesn't like top-entry.

The only complaint I have about this litterbox is that there is a square protrusion on the inside bottom, where used litter becomes trapped. It is very difficult to scoop around this feature. I can't imagine why it was decided to design the inside of a box with such a feature.
Has anyone had a problem with the cat tipping this litter box over?
Jennifer O on Mar 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, only our bigger Siamese boy has almost done this by jumping onto the rim....don't think it quite tipped over, but could have, he's around 14 lbs. Our Siamese girl has never done this, but she weighs less than him. Maybe if you're having this problem, try setting litter box against a wall from behind & right up against a piece of furniture on one side, like a file cabinet or something else. That at least prevents it from happending from 2 sides. Probably best to set it against the side that your cat is tipping over, in the hopes of breaking him of trying to do this. Good luck!
What is the box made of? Is it sturdy?
A shopper on Aug 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It's plastic, but it is really sturdy plastic. I can set something heavy (I think a half-full bag of cat litter - so something weighing maybe 20-25 lbs) on the part of the top without a hole with no problem (for that matter, one of my cats weighs 19 lbs, and she hops on it all the time, so......). I consider this catbox a godsend because I have dogs, but none of them are super tall. So I can stop the dogs from snacking out of the litter box without elevating the litter box.
Does this box have a flat bottom?
Misty H on Jul 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No really. Everything but the last 3 inches is completely flat, but for some bizarre reason they decided to put some contouring in the last 3 inches of the pain. I do not understand the reason, but it makes this part difficult to scoop. Great litter box except for this one feature.
What size is the opening?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The opening is 10 inches by 9 inches. Even my big boy (18 pounds and 20 inches long, not including the tail) uses these with no problem. I did only buy one at first to make sure the cats would be OK with this design. I now own 3 and will soon own 4. This is the only litter box my small dogs cannot get into to and I no longer find cat poop laying all over after the dogs are done playing with it.
what is the
height?
A shopper on Jun 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is 15" high x 20" long x 15" deep. Hope that helps!
If I turned this on its side, could it be used as a shelter for an outdoor feral cat?
A shopper on Nov 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I believe that this could be used as a shelter, since it provides plenty of room for a blanket. You should know in advance that the "top" is made to get litter out of the cat's paws, so there are smaller holes there -- but these could easily be blocked by cardboard.
Does anyone use a liner with this? Trying to find my best option
A shopper on Mar 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't use a liner with this box or any of my boxes. I just hose them out when cleaning and let them dry in the sun. Only one of my cats is willing to go inside this box; the other cat does not like the confinement. However, I really like the concept of a cover to keep the litter contained!
