The Pet-Ease tablets work much better.
I have used Nutri-Vet Pet-Ease tablets in the past. Before the tablets, when I would leave for work in the mornings, she would howl and whine. I have no doubt it woke at least a neighbor or two, so I was quite relieved when the tablets worked. In fact, they helped her un-learn the whining behavior. It wasn't completely gone, but it became more intermittent, even on non-pet-ease mornings. It's been months since I used the tablets and the howling is starting up again. I think semi-regular use is what will work best for my dog. I figured I would try the treat version because my other dog didn't like the tablets (he's a picky eater). Note that my mini-schnauzer got excited when given a tablet - she loved them. These wafers are okay. They help my pup calm down a little bit, but I don't notice as drastic a change as I did with the tablet version. My other dog was as skeptical with these as he was with the tablet. I'm not sure why this is, but I won't be buying the wafers again.

Hi, I have a very nervous/anxious mix dog and he was abused earlier in his life, he is so afraid of noises, all kinds, music, squeaker toys, cars, etc. he is very difficult to walk, would this help him at all? Also, i have a 1 1/2 Siberian Husky who is very excitable when he walks also when we leave the house for just a little while if he is inside he is destructive, rips up mail, anything he can get his teeth into, would this also help him and all of his behaviors? Thank you, Theresa H.

BEST ANSWER: Hi Theresa-I used these for my senior citizen dog who was 15 1/2 and had anxiety issues when his buddy passed away. I don't think they would help your Husky but might take the edge off your anxious dog. I would at least try them. Your Husky probaly needs more activity to burn off his energy. I volunteer at an animal shelter and have seen a lot of Huskys. They are great dogs but need to be entertained and exercised. I would get him a big Nylabone to chew on in the house also-they are great for pent up anxiousness and energy. You might also try obedience classes so he knows you are the dominant dog or doggy daycare. You will have to go slow with your anxious dog-I ahve one too that I just adopted 2 months ago. Expose it to noises slowly and take it for a walk in a quiet place for awhile, if you can so it is not afraid all the time. Good luck!
