First, watch for symptoms of hairballs or blockages in your ferret's stomach. This can include ribbon-like stool, loss of appetite, or dry coughing. Once identified, you can feed right from the tube up to one teaspoon two or three times a day for three to four days. After that use two to three times a week until or until symptoms resolve.

Ferrets love it, I don't.
My ferrets love this stuff but the past 8 tubes I bought have been horrible. The first 4 were extremely runny, the last 4 have no brown color to the laxative, it's clear. Almost like it's not mixed well. Never used to have a bad word to say about this stuff but for what ever reason the last several batches have not been quality tubes of laxative.

if you have ferret's this is a must have.
I love this because I don't have to worry about them retaining hair balls. Because if there not cleaning them self there cleaning each other and being winter when I brush them and see the fur on the brush.I'm happy they have this for ferrets.because hair balls are not good for ferret's. I see it like this pay now or pay a Vet latter. This stuff is way cheaper than the vet. And it's also way cheaper here than at any pet store. Like i always say the more you order the more you save.

3 of my 4 ferrets love this. Give as directed, give at least once a week.

We use this for both ferrets about once a week for maintenance. It's great for a blockage also. That can be the culprit if signs are there. Haven't needed it for that since weekly treatment began.
A BIG drawback is the large amount of sugar. Not good for insulinoma prone animals like ferrets. They love it, but probably still would with less sweetener.

These ingredients are identical to some of the cat lax products. Does anyone know whether or not a pussycat can have this formulation lax in the quantities & milligrams of the individual ingredients, or are the specific levels of each emollient herein this formulation too high for use on pussycats? Thank you all very kindly for any intelligible responses or good guesses. I so very much appreciate it.

BEST ANSWER: yes, I have used the cat hairball treatment for the ferrets as well so they both work the same
