No Odor Control
My ferret hated this litter. She refused to use it at first and instead she played in it. When she finally did use it, the litter did not cut down on odor and it was hard to clean when it got wet.

great to catch "faking" ferrets
I love using this litter because my clever little ferret sometimes pretends to go potty just to get her treat. This white litter lets me know if she really went or not. The white color also makes it very easy to make sure deposits look normal, since they stand out in contrast. I think it's a little softer on sensitive feet than other types too. It is a little pricey, so I use Yesterday's News (recycled newspaper litter) for 3/4 of the box, & then use this on top. I've heard reviews that Critter litter can get mushy when really wet, but using it as just a top layer solves that issue also.

I love it
I don't know what bad I could say about this. It soaks up urine wonderfully without having to use a ton of it. The rabbits like the feel of it on their feet... at least I am guessing so since the one became even better about using his litter box after I switched to this. It keeps their feet from getting urine on them too, which is great. It doesn't have a smell, it is perfume and dye free, natural ingredients. I guess the only thing I could say is it isn't super cheap... but hardly expensive for what you get. You can also buy the 8lb bag and usually get a sale. I stock up to get free shipping, buy a few grass mats (awesome) and I'm good to go. I couldn't be happier with this. The vet seems to think it's good too.

Best for my babies!
My Mitzy has a very sensitive respiratory system. When we first got our three furries we tried the kind made from recycled newspaper but Mitzy sneezed like crazy. Then we tried the swheat scoop made from wheat but talk about a mess. Then we found this, it doesn't irritate Mitzy and it's the easiest to clean up!

Mixed Review
When this stuff gets wet it makes a hard-to-clean goop. It didn't seem to do much for odor control, but I do have 4 ferrets. Said ferrets love to dig it out of the box and have the little balls everywhere, LOL. It did however get the fuzzies to start using the litter pan about 95% of the time. Not sure if I will keep using this or not.

Not a great litter for owners
I bought this litter because it had such high reviews and was such a good deal on ferret.com. My ferrets do use the box with no issues, but my problem is with the cleanup and smell of the litter box. I have to change the litter at least once a day, sometimes two and three times. The litter does nothing for cutting down smell. Also, once the litter absorbs moisture it breaks down into a nasty paste that's impossible to scoop out. So I end up wasting a LOT of good litter in the process of trying to get out bad. Needless to say, I've run through many bags and it's getting expensive. I'm switching to something more cost effective in the long run and something easier to clean.

critter litter
I have tried other litters and either they are dusty or sandy. This one the ferrets don't kick out of the litter box and it obsorbs well. I am very happy with it.

My rats won't eat this litter, and it is easy to clean up. It WILL get mushy when wet, but it shouldn't get to that point if you clean it regularly like you're supposed to.

It is amazing. It is natural, eliminates odor, is clean and safe, soaks urine to keep paws clean. Great to keep area sanitary. If it weren't on this site I would find it elsewhere.
