K-BroVet® Oral Solution
 

K-BroVet Oral Solution was developed to help manage epileptic seizures in dogs and provide a reliable source of potassium bromide, an effective anti -convulsive for the alleviation of canine seizure disorders and is often considered the first option for dogs with idiopathic epilepsy. K-BroVet has also been formulated with vitamins B-12 and B-6 to support healthy neurological function. K-BroVet Oral Solution is butterscotch vanilla flavored.

Cautions:
The safety of K-BroVet has not been established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. The following drugs can potentially interact with Potassium Bromide: other sedatives, diuretics (e.g. furosemide), foods containing chloride (salt)- follow your veterinarians instructions for keeping dietary changes to a minimum. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.

Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
 
Side effects:
Dog may experience drowsiness when taking K-BroVet, but this will generally go away after approximately 3 weeks. Increased hunger, thirst, urination, vomiting, constipation, anorexia, and uncoordinated movements may occur with K-BroVet. During the load in dose increased nausea may be experienced. If your pet experiences any sudden changes or experiences: profound sedation, stupor, ataxia, diarrhea, excess salivation, shivering, skin lesions, contact your veterinarian immediately. Other side effects may occur, if you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
 
Usage:
 
K-BroVet should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian. Do not stop giving the medication unless advised by your veterinarian.
