Feeding Guide:
Taking care of your cat's overall health starts by feeding him properly. It is suggested to use the below chart as a guide. Adjust amounts accordingly over time. Please remember these portions are averages and will vary according to the age, activity, size, and temperament of your cat. When introducing Earthborn, mix increasing amounts with decreasing amounts of the old food over a one-week period. During gestation and lactation, feed 2 to 3 times as much food as recommended for the weight of your adult cat. Kittens start to eat solid foods at three to four weeks of age and should have free access to moistened food from this time until weaning (6 - 8 weeks). Moistened food should be one part warm water with three parts Earthborn. You may keep Earthborn before your kitten at all times; most kittens will satisfy their nutritional needs as their appetites dictate.
By Weight of Adult Cat:
4-6 lb.: 1/4 to 1/3 cup per day
6-9 lb.: 1/3 to 2/3 cup per day
9-12 lb.: 2/3 to 3/4 cup per day

By Age:

I want to know how many mg. per serving of L-Lysine there is in this food? If a manufacturer has L-Lysine in their food, it is a major deciding factor if I will buy it. I look for this ingredient b/c my cats have the Rhinotracheitis/Herpes virus despite the fact that they were all vaccinated against it yearly. My vet said the vaccine does very little if a sick cat comes into contact with them. I am brokenhearted that they have this horrible thing b/c I always take such good care of them, take them to the vet for all their shots and when they are sick, & buy extra expensive stuff I can't really afford on disability. I wish more manufacturers of cat's food would put L-Lysine in more cat food & list the mg., but then they would call it special cat food & skyrocket the price.
