Great for herding dogs!
I foster herding and flock guardians of all ages and sizes. These are great for intelligent, active dogs that need a puzzle that is
a bit tougher to solve. The have stood up to my Pit Bull and numerous Cattle Dogs as well as Border Collies. Great Pyrenees pups, and German Shepherd dogs.

What is your pet?:
Dog - Large
My dog loves this treat dispensing toy.
I bought this toy in the extra small size several years ago at a local pet store. Boo quickly chewed through the rope within the first few days but she was a baby at the time and could and would chew through anything. I put a small ball into the opening of the bottle which worked almost better than the rope to block the treats falling out just like the rope had. This toy kept her busy and happy for almost two years and then the threads broke on the screw opening because of all the tipping and banging she did with it on the kitchen floor. I have been looking for another extra small version of this but can only find the small which seems quite large to me. I have been using it and Boo likes it fine, but does not carry it around the house with her like she did the extra small. I do recommend this toy and hope that one day Pet Supplies will again offer the extra small.

So far so good
I have a Chiweenie who loves just about anything that rolls. Her mouth is to small, (she's 2 1/2 yr old) to bite the jar but she loves rolling it along. She hasn't figured out how to get the treats out. She just wants to bite the jar.

Love this toy!
Simply the best dog toy I have ever purchased! I can't say enough about it. It is so easy to load and holds over a cup of kibble. It takes my dog twenty minutes or so to eat vs. 5 minutes.

Dog Loves It!
My boy is a chewer/destructor, but (with supervised play) he loves this toy. We are on number two, because he can still crack the plastic. If your dog doesn't play with it or goes for the wrong end work with them to teach them how to use it. I use a small bites dog food in it most of the time and occasionally a larger sized food for extra challenge. My dog would rather just crush the back to get to the food, but after showing him how to use it, it keeps him busy as he tugs and turns it over to get to the food. Great toy.

Great Tug a Jug
I bought this for my Siberian Husky when she was a puppy. It took her almost 2 yrs to figure it out, but now she just steps on the tug and picks it up by the bottom to get the treats to come out. It probably doesn't take more than 15 Min. to empty it, but it keeps her out of trouble while she eats her food.Love It.

Brittle Lid
My dogs were just starting to enjoy their new toy when the lid cracked all the way around. I contacted Premier and they said that there had been some issues with the lid. They're sending me a new lid, hopefully this lid is more sturdy, otherwise I'm sure they'll send me another when they've fixed the problem. Premier has always stood behind their products, thank you!

My dogs were given the tug-a-jugs only once in awhile. The threading at the base of the jug cracked on two out of three. They were then unusable. I contacted the manufacturer, but they did not respond. So a lot of money spent on defective merchandise, manufacturer didn't respond, left with unusable toys...guess they will go in the garbage. Will not buy Busy Buddy toys again.

they changed the rope!
My dogs LOVE this toy so much that I bought them a new one (they finally chewed the rubber ball off the end of the rubber rope in the jar). The problem is they replaced the thick rubber rope with an actual piece of rope-it lasted about an hour! Now the treats can't fall out!!! I need one with the rubber rope! Sincerely, sad pups in Pennsylvania.

Great Entertainment
My German Shepherd Puppy chews up lots of things, but she has only managed to untie the rope lead on this one. After 6 months it still works and she gets great pleasure from slinging the thing around the room. Watch out for your knees, it packs a whollop! She rarely gets her small treats to come out because of the rope, but tries anyway. I am ordering her and her friend a new one for Christmas!

Because I love my dog and I'm always looking for new toys for him to play with while I'm at work.

She's so smart, but she never figured this one out. Worth a try for an intelligent critter, though!
