Having a glass water bottle is great - don't have to worry about any chemicals from the plastic seeping into your pet's water over time. Very heavy duty and easy to clean. I have one in my ferrets' cage as a backup to their water dish. One of the ferrets loves to use this bottle, the other doesn't. If you need a water bottle, this one is great.

I love the idea that this is made out of glass to keep my ferrets from chewing on it. The only issue that I have is that the spout cannot be adjusted. No matter how I turn the lid, the spout is always in the same spot which is not ideal for mounting outside the cage because the spout would be sticking out the wrong way. So I have it mounted inside the cage but either way, it works very well.

First let me say that I can't keep a water dish inside the cage because my ferrets swim in them. This bottle is the next best thing in my opinion and I use it in conjunction with a ceramic water dish that I keep outside the cage for their swimming and drinking pleasure. I chose to buy this water bottle as it was glass. I don't believe in using plastic for eating and drinking because of it possibly leeching. I have now had this water bottle for 5 months. I have never once had a problem with it leaking or rusting. My ferrets have no trouble getting a drink from it which is quite clear because I have to refill it every day. I have also had no problem keeping it clean, but then again I wash it every time I refill it because I do not believe in exposing animals to needless bacteria. I wash my cups everyday, its only fair I was theirs everyday as well. Lastly, I love its secure attachment to the cage. It doesn't move around like many others do and I have never felt like it would fall and compromise my pets safety.

I really liked how this water bottle worked! I didn't purchase it off of this site, I got it in Petco and believe me, the price is AMAZING on this site. I paid way to much for it. Water came out easily and the ferrets loved it but a few days after purchasing and using the bottle the metal cap that you are supposed to untwist to fill the bottle came off of it's white base and all you saw was a white cap then and it was hard to get unscrew the bottle because of this. Basically it started falling apart. I really wish it would've worked out! I preferred the glass to the plastic bottles!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pink WARNING: Water Bottles Aren't Meant For Ferrets
Water bottles are not meant to be used for ferrets. Ferrets need a bowl of water so their face and mouth can be cleaned whiel drinking. Also Water Bottles cause ferrets to bang their teeth constantly against the metal, which is very very mad for their teeth.
In My Oppinion, the best water dish to get your little ferret, is a clip-on-your-cage, water bowl, which they also sell on this very site.

My ferrets cannot get enough water from these bottles. the sipping tubes are too small, and these are the only water bottles I've used for my ferrets that have had the ball get stuck such that water can no longer come out. Dehydration can be a problem with ferrets, so the last thing you want is a water bottle that requiress a ferret to work hard to get water out of it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Matt Not so chew proof
The glass of the water bottle is great. However, the stainless steel "no-drip" tip isn't anything worth buying. Even with a double bearing, my rabbit chewed the tip and had it dripping in less than a week. We thought maybe she (the rabbit) and run out of water so we purchased the 26 oz as well. In 8 days she had chewed the tip out of this one and it was leaking again. While the bottle is chew-proof, the tip is anything but.
