Sentry® HC Good Behavior™ Pheromone Collar for Dogs

Stress can cause inappropriate behaviors in anybody. If you’re a dog, this translates to excessive barking, chewing or digging, and canine marking where those “marks” don’t belong. The Sentry® HC Good Behavior™ Pheromone Collar for Dogs releases calming pheromones, similar to those released by a mother dog to comfort her new pups. It helps your pooch better cope with stressful situations.

Product Features:
  • Safe and effective alternative to powerful prescription medicines
  • Proven to modify undesirable behavior
  • Mimics pheromones released by mother dogs to pups, who recognize these throughout their lives
  • Convenient—goes anywhere your dog goes
  • Sustained release of pheromones for up to 30 days
  • Adjust and cut length for a perfect fit
  • Safe for any age, any breed
  •  Lavender Chamomile fragrance
  •  Made in U.S.A.
  • Soothes dogs in stressful or fearful situations, such as a new baby in the house, travel, visits to the vet or kennel, loud noises and separation anxiety

I have a small dog with a large bark. She barks about everything. She also chews on anything fabric, blankets, sheets, socks, towels. I also purchased the citronella collar. I know that helps a lot. I feel that she is afraid of a lot of things and I am trying to help calm her. I know these products will help.

I thought it might help my young pup settle down when I'm not there. It didn't work.

I have a 4 yr old female English bulldog and a 1 1/2 year old female English Bulldog...they can really get into it, scary fighting, maybe once a day, especially when mom's around, do you think these collars may help them?

Best Answer: I have three female beagles- 10yrs, 5 yrs and a puppy. I lost my 16 yr old in February and she was top dog. The dynamics of the house changed when the puppy came. I think the 10 yr old became top dog and when the puppy played rough with the younger dog, the older dog stepped in and I had some serious fights between the two adults, requiring vet visits. She recommended trying the pheromone collar. I read that all dogs should wear the collar to be effective. The old dog became very mellow and I saw no effect on the young dog or the puppy. But since it did effect one dog, the fights stopped. So I would recommend trying the collars but be aware, dogs do respond differently. I would advise that you try to see what is triggering the fights. If it is competition for you, put one dog in another room so they each get their own time. In my case, I noticed that the dogs were playing and got over-stimulated (hair stood up on their back) so I stepped in and stopped the playing to settle them down. Beats paying a vet bill! Good luck.
