Product Summary:

Dog Food For Adult Golden Retrievers Over 15 Months of Age

Skin Health & Coat Beauty

Golden Retrievers are known for their long, beautiful, golden coats. Nutrition plays an important role in maintaining the health and beauty of the skin and coat. A synergistic complex of vitamins and amino acids, Folic Acid, Chelated Zinc and Chelated Copper helps to build and protect the skin barrier. The addition of Omega 6 fatty acids, Chelated Zinc, Vitamins E & C and Biotin help enhance the natural beauty of your Golden Retriever's coat.

Specific Kibble Shape, Size & Texture

Large breed dogs may be more prone to bloat, especially if they gulp their food too quickly. And all dogs may be subject to oral health problems due to the accumulation of plaque and tartar. A larger kibble may slow this process and helps them to digest their food more efficiently. Sodium Tripolyphosphate, supplemented in the MAXI Golden Retriever 25, helps to bind the calcium in a dog's mouth and prevent it from bonding to the teeth.

Cognitive Function

The bright mind of the Golden Retriever makes them a lively and alert companion. Free radicals can lead to early aging and cellular degeneration. Supplemental antioxidant Vitamins C & E, polyphenols from Green Tea, and Lutein may help to slow this process and may help to support cognitive function.

Healthy Heart

Because some Golden Retrievers may be predisposed to hereditary heart disease, it's important to provide nutrients that help contribute to heart health. A synergistic complex of antioxidants (Vitamins E & C, Lutein, Taurine, and Green Tea Polyphenols), essential fatty acids, Arginine, and L-Carnitine (800 mg/kg), may help protect the Golden Retriever's heart, contributing to a better quality of life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Royal Canin Maxi Golden Retreiver My 8 yr old male golden, Sam, has been on Royal Canin since march and his allergies have improved by ninety percent. His coat was very dry and he was constantly losing hair. This has improved considerably. Our vet was very impressed by the sheen and softness of his coat. He eats Royal Canin only and likes it dry. Also his energy level has increased. It is very well worth the price and State Line will get it to you pronto. October 19, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Royal Canin Golden Retriever 15 Feeding two cans a day mixed with 4 oz can of venison and sweet potatoes soft food. It is made from sardines and it smells like it. He seems to like it. Sam is 8 yrs old and his skin was very dry, he was biting his feet and rubbing his face on the rug when I was feeding Beneful. Since on Royal Canin he has improved about 80 % and lost 3 lbs. I will continue this food for at least two more 35 lb bags and continue to monitor him. Thus far both my vet and I am very satisfied with his progress. May 18, 2009
