Does the steel cup lift out? Wondering if cup can be filled without undoing the wing nut and removing the whole thing.

Best Answer: Yes Kathy, you can lift the stainless steel bowl out to clean and fill it. The bowl is a good weight and sturdy. My only issue is that there probably should be 2 wing nuts to stabilize ring holder better. When the wing nut loosens or the animal pushes it on either side the holding ring can rotate and sometimes spill the contents of the bowl. I now check the tightness of the wing nut before replacing the bowl and so far it is working.
