Rated 5 out of 5 by Pooch Pad Great product. Will save our floors and greatly reduce waste paper from piddle pads. October 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT product, I LOVE THEM Maddie, our senior dog, just can't hold it like she used to. I have been using tons of Piddle Pads lining them all over the house, most of the time she would get 1/2 on and 1/2 off the pad. Then you have a bigger mess because it spreads all under the piddle pad. These Pooch Pads are great, they are very absorbent, she doesn't miss the pad so no more additional clean up. I bought a total of 8, that way I can have 4 down and 4 on hand. I wash them once a week and just hang them to dry. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean they came out, especially since one of my 4 dogs had a messy accident on one, I was sure it would stain; but it didn't. Very easy to clean and the dogs seem to migrate towards them instead of willy nilly throughout the house. I LOVE THEM and saving the landfills and no more costly Piddle Pads to throw away!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by PoochPads are Great!! I have used the PoochPads for about 6+ years. I am still on my original purchase. I have a toy fox terrier. I have found I can just put them on 2 rinse & spin and they come out clean and with no smell. Once every 2-3 months I do regular cycle wash with just a small amout of bleach and 2 rinse. I have not put them in the dryer in years. I just lay them out and they dry really fast. This saves me on electric & water, also lots of money using these rather than disposables. I started using the 20x27 in the bottom of my small bird cage *canary & cordon blue finch. They worked so will, I just bought 6 30x32 for my 3 larger bird cages *one canaries, one Lady Gouldian finches and one has parakeets. They work really great for that too and saves the expense of the throw away cage liners. I bought extra so I could put clean ones in while the other are washing. I change and clean them daily. You just can't beat the price any where and are a must have for any and all pet owners. I love them!!!! January 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect solution for home-alone dogs Some days my work shift is 12 hours. That's too long for a dog to hold out, so I bought these pads to keep them from soiling my carpet. The dogs adapted to it quickly and easily. It really does prevent odors; I don't smell anything when I walk in the door. They are amazingly reusable after many washings. Unfortunately, they are a little expensive and I have 2 dogs so needed 4 large ones. But so far, they've washed and dried perfectly. I'm so glad I found them. September 29, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth the price I battled with my dog for a year trying to train him to go indoors on a pad due to cold Wisconsin weather. When i bought these, he suddenly got it, and started using these religiously. My only complaint is that they don't last as long as they say. I'd say after about 75 washes, they get a lot less absorbent and don't get as clean. January 18, 2009

I use these items because it works best for my little dogs and me when the weather is bad or the neighborhood skunk is making it's trek through our yard. They also are very helpful when visiting friends and families homes.

How long do you usually leave one down before washing? Do they absorb the urine so the dog will use it more than once? I know the answer will vary with how many dogs use them. What would a good guess for a small dogs that uses it 5 times total in 24 hours?
lunalu on Aug 4, 2014
Best Answer: Hi, I have 3 min pins that use pooch pads a lot. When the pads are new, they work better at masking urine smell and do not leak. After about six months of washing them about every 3 days, they lose their ability to mask odors. With only 1 small dog you should be able to leave them down for 5-7 days or whenever you begin to smell the urine. Follow the washing instructions; one tablespoon of bleach and liquid detergent is all you need.

how do you train a puppy to use this to begin with ?
Ann N on Oct 22, 2013
Best Answer: We bought ours along with the pen so we kept our puppy confined in a small area while we were training him. He went on the pad, no problem. It's very nice, easy to wash. I'm not sure how he knew to go on it, I think it was more that he had to go and it covered the whole area of his crate, so he went on it. Once the scent is there then that's the spot. Anyway, I would recommend them. They are much nicer than the little disposable ones.
