We've had 2 of these balls. Both the exact same thing but the first was was very soft and squishy and my dog loved that one the most, however, it came apart so I had to take it away before it became a hazard. I replaced it with another and it was very hard. She plays with it sometimes but not like the other one. This one is still intact. Due to less play or better build I'm not sure. I feel safer with this hard one but the soft one was more fun to play with. No idea why they were so different.

Orbee is a great ball, my dog loves it and it smells good. But, the first thing she did was chew off the sperated pcs of land. Why aren't the pcs of land molded on and just painted? I have to constantly pull pcs from her mouth.

I have a schnoodle... a schnauzer poodle. He's about 18 pound, but a powerful chewer. He loved this ball as soon as I gave it to him, but it took me a day or two to realize he has been chewing off the continents! I think the ball is adorable and it kept him excited, but it was a poor design to be able to peel those things off.

If you are looking for a tuff ball that will stand up to abuse from your dog, choose one of the smooth orbee balls, such as the woof, fetch or diamond plate. the ones with raised designs can be torn apart. We have a Dalmatian that destroys any other type of ball, but the silver diamond plate style and woof and fetch have held up great! He loves them and will chew on them making a "popping" or squeeking noise that he loves.

I have 3 corgis ranging in age from 10 months to 6 years. They are agility addicts and as such are high drive with balls. Orbee is their favorite to play retriever/tug. I wouldn't leave any toy that can be chewed with a dog unsupervised. They can/will destroy them.

I read the previous write up thinking I was purchasing the best of the best, when it comes to a tough ball that will last for the money.
I have a 2 year young Yellow Lab, she loves to chew (don't they all) So I purchased 2 of the Planet Balls...
Within less then 1 hour one of the balls was chewed up.... in thousand oaks.... :(
