Hello.

I would need this crate in size large.
With metal door and metal hardware.
With 2 bowls (for food and water) and 4 "live animal" stickers.
How much for all that? How much shipping and how long it will take?

does it have dividers to allow for growth?
Laurie F on Dec 28, 2014
Best Answer: There are no dividers. I don't know why you would want any. Our dog was 12 lbs on his first trip and now is 19 lbs.. We've never had a problem with him in the kennel on flights as long as 8 hours.

what size dog max??
A shopper on Jan 20, 2015
Best Answer: We transported a 60 lbs Catahoola very comfortably in this. I can see a Golden Retriever or Labrador fit just as well. The limitations on international flights (which was put use scenario) are more limited due to strict size regulations by the IATA.

I need crates for my dogs. They weigh 15lbs and 17 lbs. Heights are 11-inch and 13-inch. Lengths are 21-inches and 23-inches. Which size should I choose? Is this airline approved?
Lucia V on Oct 9, 2014
Best Answer: I bought this crate for my LG German Shepherd. I needed the height. Your dogs appear to be small. It would be very roomy for 2 small dogs. There are only a few Airlines that have pressure controlled cabins for pet safety. Be sure to research Airline requirements. Some will take small dogs in the cabin with the owners depending on size of dog.. But yes, mine is Airline approved if you want a lg roomy crate.

Are they stackable? I'd need 4 and would have to stack 2 on top of 2.in the back of my van.
A shopper on Sep 23, 2014
Best Answer: I've purchased a lot of these crates for work. To my knowledge, they are not meant to be stacked. I wouldn't do it unless you have a way of tying them down securely. Animals are typically already nervous about travel, but more so if their crate moves around or shifts.

Is the size xlarge okay for a labrador?
It's for an over sea flight is this carrier iata prove?
A shopper on May 27, 2014
Best Answer: I have a 70lb male boxer who is tall/leggy (not stout) and the XL was just fine for him. In fact he preferred being in the L size for my 50lb female boxer! But for the flight from LA to Tokyo on ANA (in Nov 2013) he went in the XL carrier and everything went perfectly. EXCEPT make sure the airline people don't ever put the crate(s) on one of those normal luggage carts - when the dog stands up/moves around in the carrier it can easily go off balance and it toppled off once with him in it! He was fine, but I was devastated! It's stressful enough without that happening so get there early and have them find a flatbed cart or two employees to carry them to the cart that takes them to the plane. Also, I don't recommend traveling alone with big dogs, I was by myself with both dogs and really messed up my back lifting them. I'll never let my husband forget it! ;) Best of luck, hope this helps.

I'll be replacing the plastic nuts with steel nuts. How many will I be needing and what size (7/8? 1 1/4? 1 3/4?)? Also, am I going to need the steel bolts as well?
Carmeli d on Jan 6, 2015
Best Answer: We shipped our pet from BWI to London Heathrow in this fantastic carrier, and used the original plastic nuts. United Airlines had no problem with that, and the nuts were perfectly fine. Also, United installed plastic ties as a precaution. However, if you don't want to risk it, wait until your carrier arrives, then take a bolt to Home Depot or Lowes, and the staff there will identify which nuts fit the existing metal bolts, or you can use the gauge they have hanging up on the hardware shelves that identify the both type for you. What color is this product?
A shopper on Jan 5, 2015
Best Answer: The one I got is a very neutral beige. However, they may come in other colors; I don't know. I've been happy with the product but be aware that it does NOT meet IATA standards for international travel. However, I was not able to find any carrier at all that did meet those standards! I had to 1) drill holes the size of quarters in the back panel (easily done) and 2) replace the plastic screws with metal ones (also easily done, but a bit expensive).

Hello, What size carrier do you recommend for a 66lb doberman female? Are the metal bolts required for international flights? Thanks
casey L on Apr 21, 2015
Best Answer: If I remember correctly (2 years ago), I bought the extra-large size for our 70-lb greyhound when we moved to Germany from the U.S. I do believe you have to use the metal bolts. The carrier worked great with no problems for our dog. Hope this helps. BTW, depending on where you live, you may need to use a professional service to move the dog. I lived in Dallas, and they will not ship animals if the high is above 80 degrees. That meant I had to use Lufthansa Airlines, which would ship the dog (I think they have special handling for the animals) and they would not allow individual owners to move the animals. I used Happy Tails out of Arizona, and had a great experience (expensive). Everything went very smoothly.

I have cats 15lbs each what size kennel should I purchase for air travel?
alfred o on Aug 23, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Alfred,
I wish I could help you more, but we had a lot of problems with the airline, United, and the crate. According to the website chart our 30 lb beagle fit into a medium crate. He fit in it well and was able to turn around and sit properly. However, United forced us to up size at the airport right before we were to board an international flight. This was a huge ordeal, as we were moving overseas and flew out of a Newark, NJ -- several states away from any family members. United charged us for the up size, kept our brand new crate and gave us a used dirty one in its place. We had contacted United many times to ensure we had everything right. But, it obviously comes down to the person working the pet counter.
Good luck to you.

is this carrier good for 10-week-old great Pyrenees puppy?
Karen L on Jan 24, 2015
Best Answer: I bought the carriers for my cats who are 8 and 11 pounds. It's very roomy. As a matter of fact an American Airline's reservation agent has told me one carrier will be enough for both cats on our return trip to the States.

I am moving back to the UK from the USA and taking my dog with me. She weighs about 50lbs is 23 " tall (to her head) 24 inches long (chow retriever mix) what size Sky Kennel would be good for her to travel in, please?
Deborah K on Nov 23, 2014
Best Answer: Well you want to make sure the dog can stand up and turn around. Going by the size of your dog, you may need the intermediate size. This size does not come with the handle on the top of the crate for the safety of the dog. Also, you may want to contact your airline to make sure crate is airline approved. Hope this helps!

Does the intermediate size crate have a handle on the top?
MICHAEL C on Mar 27, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, there is a handle. We have a 35 lb. beagle. According to the sizing this was his preferred crate. However, Delta decided that this crate was too small and they put him in a very large crate. Huge. They charged us -- of course, and kept our brand new crate. They "provided" us with the same brand -- very old and very used crate without a handle. Good luck.
