Note: The active ingredient in Nutrivet Green Grass Tabs is dl-methionine, a ammonia-containing, essential amino acid. In the process of the body's natural metabolism of this amino acid, a slight acidification of urine can result. There are no detrimental health effects. Some feel that Yucca is actually more important in neutralizing the nitrogen that causes most of the damage to grass. really works, 2/9/2012

Angela from Kansas

I give this to my 2 female dogs and they no longer burn the grass. In fact, one has a problem peeing in the house. It's so much better now because it doesn't have the horrible urine smell. She's peed several times and after I clean it up you can't even smell it anymore. I'll have my vet do urine checks on both of them to make sure they're okay.

Gave our lab a urinary tract infection, 3/28/2011

Paddler from Central MA

This product WORKS for the LAWN. Not so much for our DOG. Our vet told us when she got a UTI soon after starting these that her urine's pH is ESSENTIAL in keeping crystals from forming in it that scratch the urethra allowing bacteria to fester. Please, love your dog more than your grass and AVOID this product. Teach your dog to urinate somewhere else.

Chronic Greengrass use and protein in urine, 8/13/2009

Rob Moreau from Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ

A patient of mine has been on Greengrass since being a puppy. He now has severe protein loss through his urine. I do not know if it is cause and effect, but would recommend anyone using this product to have the urine checked when they next see their veterinarian.

This Item Works Great, 6/20/2009

Ron from Winneconne, WI

I have used this item for four years with my yellow lab and for one year with my hound. The lawn looks great and the pups show no adverse effects from the pill. Great item.

May Cause Blistering, 6/17/2009

R Davis from Beaverton OR

My 6 month old lab has developed blisters on her belly where the acidic urine has caused skin problems in her groin area. Stopped using this product and blisters has stopped.

Works Very Well, 5/18/2008

Kent from Los Angeles, CA

We tried other solutions bu Green Grass works best. It took some time to train Roscoe to eat his pills but now he seems to enjoy them.

Green Grass - Yummy!, 8/22/2007

Claire from McCullough

My dog, a large golden-retrieverpoodle mix, loves his green grass talets. Probably because they have liver in them, but they also have lots of other nutrients. If I give them to him every day, there is a noticeable decrease in yellow spots on my lawn.

Green Grass, 9/18/2006

Brooke from Puyallup, WA

Green grass is wonderful. It really works to keep the grass from yellowing where your dog goes pee. The dogs love the treats so we are both happy.
