In this day and age, we're more concerned and aware of the chemicals and additives in the products we use for our dogs. This toothpaste contains only natural ingredients. No artificial preservatives or additives. Contains natural abrasives to safely remove plaque. For best results use 2 to 3 times a week. Ingredients - sorbitol, purified water, hydrated silica, glycerin, natural flavor (peanut), xathan gum, mushroom extract, sodium copper chlorophyllin, eucalyptus oil, and parsley seed oil.

Dog likes it, but it's greasy and sticky, 10/6/2009

Whatever you do, don't get this on a long-haired pet's coat. You will have a mess on your hands. The scent is fine, my dog really loves the taste, and I appreciate the all-natural ingredients. However, during the teethbrushing process, I have gotten this in my long hair or or on my dog. It's really sticky! And difficult to rinse off the toothbrush.

This toothpaste is adored by my border collie pups, and you cannot beat dog.com's price. It's supposed to be peanut flavored, but it smells more like wintergreen... not exactly minty but like a fresh breath sort of smell. Either way, the pups love licking it off their teeth and come running when they see the tooth brush and paste being pulled out!
