Surprisingly Good!, 10/27/2011

Megan from Bristol, TN

I have a VERY destructive rottweiler, who loves to chew and destroy any toy she can get her hands on. I thought this toy would be good to keep her occupied. She loves pulling the birds out of the bird house, and they all have unique squeaks to them! We've had this toy for about three weeks now, and the birds nor the birdhouse are showing any wear. She loves to fling the birdhouse as well, so I'm happy it's strong and durable. I only gave four stars overall because I wish the house and birds were a little bigger. Otherwise, I cannot complain - perfect for supervised play with my rottie!

Harley Loves his Bees!, 2/4/2011

Harley's Mom from NY

My Malt Harley was having a bad week because he had to be shaved and he just wasn't himself. The toy arrived just in time! The minute we took the beehive and the three bees out of the box he went nuts. He loves to chew on the bees to hear them squeak. Best toy by far. Good quality stitching. The hive is really plush too, so I imagine all of the sets sold would be of the same quality. Thanks!

Doxie's Favorite!, 12/29/2009

doxiemom from Kennewick, WA

My two dachshunds went CRAZY over these hide-a-toys! The biggest problem was that they barked at us to put the toys back in so they could "hunt" them out again! The large size worked fine for them because of their long snouts and digger instincts. Excellent fun!

Birds in the bird house, 10/7/2009

Kim from Las Vegas, NV

I love watching my dog play with this toy! Fun for the whole family. I wasn't sure if she would know what to do with it but she caught on quickly. When we got it, I let her play with the birds first.. then I put them into the house and she had some trouble getting them out at first but once she did, she's been getting them out in 5 minutes or less now!

Best toy ever!, 8/23/2009

Charisse from Spokane, WA

My yorkie loves this toy. He loves to hunt for squirrels in the tree. He puts his entire snout in the tree to find them then brings them out and shakes them several times before settling down to chew on them. I find tiny squirrels all threw my house. It's awesome!!

Our Chocolate Lab loves his squirrel babies, 8/5/2009

Lynn from Santa Clara, CA

Our lab just loves this toy. The squirrels are his babies. As soon as I put them in the trunk he pulls them out. & he'll do it over & over. He also likes to play with the squirrel babies. tossing & retrieving.

dogs loved it!, 7/24/2009

caitlin from charleston, sc

My mini poodle loved this toy from the moment he got it. My boyfriends chesapeake also loved the toy, but she is very destructive. I hoped that since she would be taking the squirrels out of the stump she wouldn't tear the stuffing out of it, but sadly she killed the toy anyway. I bought another a few days later because my puppy loved it. If they made them just a bit stronger then it would be perfect!

Excellent!, 7/24/2009

Laura from Atlanta, GA

My beagle-boston terrier puppy absolutely loves this toy! He is pretty high energy and very easily distracted, but this keeps him busy for hours at a time!! He LOVES taking the birds out (though he usually just takes out one, puts his nose in the house, squeaks the other birds and runs around the house like that!--entertaining for everyone).

Great Dane love it!, 7/17/2009

Lydia from Tucson, AZ

I got this toy, thinking our smaller dog would enjoy it. Much to our surprise, our Great Dane, who usually doesn't care about most toys, loves this one! Once we taught her to pull the squirrels out, she plays with it almost every day. She looks pretty funny with the little squirrels hanging out of her mouth, squeaking. She's been chomping on them pretty regularly, and they've held up quite well. Even the squeakers still work!

Hide-a-Squirrel, 7/2/2009

Patti from Huntsville, AL

My Border Collie/Golden mix loved the toy. He did not really care anything about getting the squirrels out of the tree--but loves carrying around and chewing the tree. Unfortunately the tree does not hold up as well as the squirrels.

She Even Sleeps With It..., 6/10/2009

Ashley from Memphis, TN

Our Lab Belle was given this toy earlier last week.. and she hasn't let this toy get out of her sight, yet! She loves pulling the bees out and squeaking them! When she takes her "afternoon naps" she takes the hive with her under the bed and pulls it out when she wakes up! I would have figured she would have this toy shredded by now.. but she loves it so much she takes it everywhere instead!

Best Lazy Together Time Toy!, 6/8/2009

Krista from Houston, TX

I frequently buy toys for my German shepherd, but this is the best toy I have EVER purchased. He is a year old and loves this toy! I have the luxury of being able to wake up slowly on the weekends and this toy is perfect for those days. He is able to stay entertained and engaged and I get to play with him without getting up until I am ready. (Week days we are early risers 4:30 a.m.) I have recommended this toy to everyone I know that has a dog!

A-MAZ-ING, 3/24/2009

Brooklyn from North Dakota

This is the only toy that has lasted the full year I've had my Boston. She figured it out in mere minutes, all squirrels still squeak (though the string mouth and whiskers are gone), and the stump still holds its form. Every morning I put a handful of kibble and a treat in the toy when we put her in her room for the work day and she's happy as can be. [After your dog figures out how to remove the creatures, buy a replacement set and really cram them in to take longer or just stuff a favorite Kong or ball in too to make it challenging again.

Fun and Durable!, 12/29/2008

Lisa from Tucson, AZ

My APBT has the best fun with this toy! He disables the squeakers first, but does not destroy the toys. I have taught him that in order to play with the toy again, he must bring me all 3 squirrels so I can put them back in the stump. He's 8 and learned this very quickly!

Vallie Maher from Hazlehurst, Ms

The squirrel set is the cutest dog toy I have ever seen and my dogs love it. They have been playing with it non-stop ever since they got it in the mail last week. It is so cute I almost did not give it to them, then I decided to order me a set to keep. LOVE IT!

Worth every penny!, 8/25/2008

Jack's Mom from Chicago, IL

This is by far my Golden Retriever's favorite toy. We are on our second set of squirrels, plus I have supplemented with tiny animals from another store (they are rapidly taking over my house). For some reason he goes straight for the ears, so those don't last but a few minutes, but the rest of the bodies hold up pretty well to the wear and tear, though another layer of stitching would be nice. I'm ordering the bees today!

Interactive Intelligent Dog Toy, 8/18/2008

Wanda from North Mississippi

My eight pound poodle just loves her squirrels and tree stump. The minute I put the tree down filled with the squirrels she is on it and doesn't stop until everything is out of the tree. She brings the empty tree back when she is ready for me to fill it back up. I stuff it tight with the squirrels and lots of her other toys and she drags it around and gets the toys out. My dog loves this toy. I do not recommend it for a dog that is a heavy chewer. Great product that exercises the dog's brain. Love it.

They Love it!, 6/29/2008

Sally from California

My boxer and french bulldog are VERY precocious dogs and they LOVE this toy. My boxer has a habit of destroying all his toys, but this one has withstood his biting abilities. We have the squirrels and I will buy another set soon. They will play for hours with this toy. I can easily say it is their favorite of their many toys (my husband says they are too spoiled). I very much recommend this product to others.

Easily destroyed, 5/28/2008

Alicia from Dayton, OH

My 10 month old Shepherd/Collie loved this toy as soon as she saw it. We got the squirrels. She chewed through the stump between the two holes where there is a thinner piece of fabric. I quickly put it up for a later date. I can't believe I paid that much for it. Though she loves it, I don't think it will last long.

Great Toy!, 4/14/2008

Briony from Oroville, Ca

My min pin LOVES this! She carries the pumpkin around by the eye or stump and in particular loves the ghost, which has been mended three times already. She stops playing as soon as she's ripped it open and waits for me to mend it again. She also loves to pull out these and other toys I stuff in. I was very surprised at how much she loves this as toys do not in general maintain her interest past 10 minutes and she has played with this steadily off and on for over a week with no lapse in enjoyment! I deduct 1 star simply because of the frequent mending!

Our two golden retrievers love to play with the squirrels. They are durable enough the they each take an end and tug. They log to stuff them in doesn't seem to last long but the chipmunks get carried around like a prize possession even after the stuffing the squeaker have come out.

my maltese puppy loves this toy. he loves the squirrels. the tree trunk is great. i put in treats at the bottom and place as many toys in the trunk as possible. then, my puppy either pulls out the toys or rolls the trunk around for the treats to fall out. it gives him great exercise and makes him soo happy.

I have a 7 pound, 9 month old Morkie (yorkie, malteese mix), and she loves this. It says on the box to let it smell like the owner and it should take about 20 minutes for the dog to figure it out. As I was pulling it out of the box she begged for it, and within 5 minutes she had all three squirrels out. During the day I will put her kong with a treat in first surrounded by the squirrels so she has to work harder to get to them. I plan on getting the bird and the bee also!

Julia from Somerville, MA

My doggies had a blast with this last night when it arrived (even my 9 year old dog got a charge out of it!). Sadly though, the tree is already torn and one of the squirrels has lost an ear. I give it 5 stars for being super fun and exciting for the dogs but maybe 3 1/2 stars for durability. My dogs may be more violent with their toys than the average dog though. I bought it along with the I-Qube which seems to be holding up better, so I'll just hide the squirrels in the I-Qube.

My 40 lb 6 mo old, border collie belgian shepherd mix LOVED getting the squirrels out and could squeak them for hours. The squirrels are still intact, yet the tree is done for. The little plastic piece in the bottom is bent and broken tearing through the fabric, and instead of 3 holes, there are 2 really big ones. She loves it but it's definitely not hardy. She still plays with the squirrels we just hide them elsewhere.

Bonnie from Sauk Rapids, MN

This is the greatest toy I have ever bought. It is very entertaining, very durable, holds my dogs attention and I own all except the pumpkin. I have never had a toy that my dog did not rip apart within a matter of days. I have owned these for over a year on only one of the small toys has ripped. I recommend this to all my friends with dogs, and give it as presents.
