The Peek-a-Bone treat-dispensing puzzle toy opens at one end to expose treats hidden inside its hollow core. To fill it and hide your dogs favorite treats inside, just pry open and hold the opening end and then close it and latch it. The latch will remain locked until your dog learns to manipulate it open. Scent holes are strategically placed near the latch to lure your dog to begin biting the latch area. Your dog's canines will eventually unlock the latch to spring the toy partially open.
The challenge: The partial opening only offers your dog limited access to the hidden treats. Using his or her problem-solving skills, your dog must learn to use his or her paw to pry open and hold the opening end to gain full access to the hidden treats inside. Watch as the limited access intensifies your dog's natural instinct and eagerness to learn and work at winning his or her reward.

Easy Cleaning Care: To hand wash, use warm water and a mild, non-toxic dishwashing soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry. When using a dishwasher, do not use the dry cycle.
Instructions for Use:
1. When demonstrating Peek-a-Bone to your dog, let your dog see you pry it open and fill the hollow core with his or her favorite treats. First, make sure your dog sees how you pry on the opening end; repeat this step several times.
2. Then, fill the hollow core with treats. Next, without latching the toy, place Peek-a-Bone on the floor and move it around until treats begin to fall on the floor. Allow your furry friend to move forward and eat the treats. After your dog wins the treats on the floor, he or she will become curious to the remaining treats inside the toy. At that point, immediately pick up the toy and praise him or her for watching your demonstration. Repeat if necessary.
3. Once your dog understands and enjoys the Peek-a-Bone puzzle toy at this level, he or she is ready for the ultimate challenge.
4. When ready, fill the toy with treats, then close it and latch it. Place it on the floor and allow your dog to manipulate and unlock the latch and pry the opening end open to access the treats inside. Be patient as your dog will need time to master the pawing technique required to access the entire treat portion. Peek-a-Bone is a very tough challenge. Have fun as this is a great time to bond with the love and attention you're giving.
