The directions on the bottle say that it can be diluted with four parts water. Being that it was such a thin product I did not do this the first time I washed my ferrets with this; I regretted it. It is extremely lathering and leaves the fur "squeaky" which means drying, when used full strength. The scent is pleasant, but overpowering when used at full strength. The next time I used it I tried squirting a tad into a sauce cup and mixing what looked to be four parts of water in it. I swirled it around with my finger, set it aside, and used it when I was ready. The product works MUCH better when diluted per the package instructions. I will continue to buy the Biogroom ferret shampoos and conditioner because when used properly it is a very, very good value for the price. It seems expensive if you look at the price and the bottle size, but it dilutes.

My littlest girl was having a bad coat blowing season and her fur was awful and dry. She was itchy beyond all reason and I had high hopes for this. After her first bath she was feeling much better and her coat was silky, smooth,and a lot less dry. She's on good food with no adrenal disease so my vet said to try a good grooming routine. She's happily back to her furry self, but this shampoo keeps her in tip top shape. It is a bit watery but in the end it works and that's all that matters.The scent isn't bad either!

My boys are constantly scratching and were unhappy with themselves. They scratched so much and nothing I got for them seemed to help so I got this as an experiment. I've used it twice. As soon as I got it, I gave the boys a bath and 2-3 weeks later, I gave them another bath. Their skin isn't irritated anymore and they scratch alot less. This product is amazing for both skin and coat. I'd recommend this for your babies. :)
