PetSafe Easy Walk Dog Harness

The Easy Walk Harness is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling on the leash. It is easy to fit and comfortable to wear. The Easy Walk Harness makes walking enjoyable for you and your dog. Traditional harnesses can actually encourage dogs to pull harder because of the “opposition reflex.”  That’s the reflex that makes sled dogs do what they do. The unique front-chest leash attachment of the Easy Walk Harness helps you steer your dog to the side and redirect his attention toward you. The chest strap rests across your dog's chest instead of putting pressure on the delicate throat; so there is no choking or gagging.

  • Discourages pulling on the leash
  • Quick-snap buckles on shoulder and belly straps provide easy on and off
  • Four adjustment points provide maximum comfort and reliable fit
  • Martingale loop at chest prevents twisting
  • Belly strap is a complementary color, making it easy to tell which strap goes over the shoulders and which strap goes under the belly

Rated 5 out of 5 by best $ I've ever spent on my dog I bought this for my 10 lb chihuahua mix. Best money I've ever spent. She used to pull like a sled dog. She no longer pulls when walking and is much calmer on lead. May 1, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by For Walking Only I bought this harness to attach to our bike attachement. I didn't want to use a coller for obvious reasons but I was hesitant about a real harness because I was afraid she could pull me off the bike. However, it rubbed so hard that after a ride she started limping and got a rash under one arm. This may work for walking but if your dog is running, do not use it. April 12, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing My dog was a good walker until she sees a squirrel or cat then she'll pull and it made it hard to pull her back. The easy walk made a world of difference as far as her " heeling" but she developed A bad rash under her armpits and even now she still has a tendency to pull on easy walk when other dogs are near by . I'm no longer using it and am looking for something less harsh on the belly and chest area for her. April 5, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Kinda sucky If you think about using this harness with a Husky forget about it. The pulling subsided at first and then after a short period of time it was back to about 90% strength. I suppose if you have a little dog like a terrier, poodle or other punt dogs it'll work find but for dogs above 45 pounds nope. None of the adjustments hold. Really just very disappointed overall with this product. November 7, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by dog-friendly Our young lab was awful to walk as would pull and not stay with me and our other dog. But with Easy Walk walking is a pleasant trip. More so, the Lab likes the feel of the harness. September 25, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Instantly I bought this for my dog who pulls too hard on a leash. It was a miracle for us. She had to get used to it since she does not enjoy the fact it gently forces her to comply with my guidance on our walks. It is a bit tricky to figure out how to put on. Just remember 2 simple rules. 1. The ring for the leash goes in the front of the chest, 2. The gray strap snaps under the belly behind the front legs. Just position it this way and put it over the dogs head like you would a shirt... and presto it's in position. Once you get this right the fitting and putting it on and off are a cinch. Best of all, the collar can stay on. The Easy Walk Harness is not designed to leave on the dog :) September 4, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by ehh its great but its soooooooooo hard to figure out how it goes on its imposible March 3, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by has made our walks a wonderful time We bought this under the direction of our trainer.... my dog pulled constantly. Now, there is no pulling, no coughing from pulling and our walks are so enjoyable. One note though - if your dog rolls over on your walk - be careful... the harness has come off my dog twice when he rolled over for a belly rub while on a walk. I know - why was he wanting a belly rub on a walk - but sometimes it happens. I love this harness. My dog is a 48 pound mixed breed shelter dog who fits the M/L size nicely. January 23, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by not for small dogs This harness is very well made and a good concept, but our 30 lb puggle is too small for it. It often ends up between his 2 front legs and he has slipped out of it from this angle. Its also kind of a pain since its either on his left or right side, and we constantly have to flip it around his head depending on what side he's walking on. I do think that it is wonderful for larger dogs though. The hardware and nylon are strong and very durable. January 2, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Instant Change I have a young Jack Russel Terrier, He is as full of energy as is rumored. He has chewed threw 3 leashes, and 2 other harnesses. Was not a fun walking partner. I purchased this for Pork Chop, thats his name, for xmas and within in the first 100 yard of going on our first walk with this harness he was no longer pulling and fighting, rather he stayed within easy control of his lead, and there was no pulling, NONE! ZERO! ZILCH! NADA! I was amazed... I think its a bit pricey but i find it worth it. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone that has a dog that is hard to control when walking! Rated 4 out of 5 by Watch out for bald spots.... We have owned both the gentle leader head collar and the easy walker harness. The gentle leader works great for our 100 lb. Golden, but our 60 lb. Lab would scrap her nose against the sidewalk until it would bleed trying to get it off---so we tried the harness on her and it made walks enjoyable again (and I was a huge advocate for the harness recommending it to everyone) until I started seeing signs of bruising and hairloss along her belly and arm straps (even with it properly adjusted). I've stopped using this and will be buying an electric collar soon. Maybe you'll have better luck with your dog. September 2, 2009
Rated 1 out of 5 by harness caused rash The harness did inhibit pulling in my pit bull terrier mix, but after a week of use, my dog broke out in a rash, or hives (red bumps and loss of hair) at and around the whole harness area. It took a few weeks for the redness and bumps to go away. It might be the way it rubs or the material. May 16, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Don't Hesitate to Buy!!! We recently bought of the harnesses for our rescued boxer who would pull until his eyes were popping out of his head and he was choking himself! It has helped tremendously and it is SO simple to put on and off. He still likes to go as far as his leash will let him, but no farther. It has stopped him drastically from dragging me around the neighborhood. Its nice to have people stop and compliment you on your well behaved dog when the only secret is the harness! April 9, 2009

Want to spare my dog's neck while teaching him not to pull
Kelly L on Aug 23, 2015
I chose this harness because I have two little dogs that like to pull. This harness keeps them from pulling and is a great training tool. This is the best harness that I have purchased and I have purchased several to help with the pulling. None of them worked, this one does.

where can i find sizes that will tell me associated girth requirements? I do see the image that helps you yo measure, but no sizes in inches.
Leanne on Feb 3, 2014
Best Answer: The measurements are listed right under "item specifications"... Right above the color combinations. It might be confusing because it says "L" which usually means length, but in this case it refers to girth.
