Drinkwell® Big Dog Pet Water Fountain
Ideal for Large Breed Dogs

The Drinkwell® Big-Dog Fountain uses the same innovative watering system as the Original Pet Fountain, featuring the patented free-falling stream of water that consumers have come to rely on for cats and small dogs for the past decade. A large charcoal filter removes bad tastes and odors leaving your pet with fresh tasting filtered water. Designed by a veterinarian specifically for large dogs, the Drinkwell® Big-Dog holds well over two gallons of water, making it the largest capacity pet fountain on the market (288 oz). The Drinkwell® Big-Dog is the most convenient way to provide man's best friend with fresh filtered water for days at a time.

Simple and Safe
Proven to benefit your pet's health, the Drinkwell® Pet Fountains are a great way to show your pets just how much you care. Our research shows that one of the best ways to improve your pet's health is to get them to drink more water and the best way to do that is with the Drinkwell® Pet Fountain! By using a 5-inch falling stream of water, the fountain continually aerates your pet's water with healthful oxygen. A charcoal filter removes bad tastes and odors, giving your pet the best possible and most appealing way to stay hydrated!

Why Animals Love Running Water
In nature, moving water is much fresher than stagnant water. The movement constantly breaks the surface tension of the water and draws oxygen from the air into the water. This process is called aeration and it makes water more appealing to drink. Pets may be drawn by instinct to moving water for this reason. The Drinkwell® Pet Fountain filters and aerates continuously moving water to keep it much fresher than a standing bowl of water. It satisfies the urge for running water and so helps eliminate jumping on counters in search of dripping faucets.

Why did you choose this?
1800PetSupplies.com Store
My dog has a sensitive stomach and keeping her water fresh is important. I also have a crazy cat who will only drink water from the running faucet. Hopefully, this will keep him off the kitchen counter when I'm working in the kitchen or washing up in the bathroom!!!

I have a bulldog and after one day her water bowl looks like a stagnant pool. This water bowl keeps it clean for up to a week.

Will this tip over?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2014
Best Answer: The fountain is very stable. The bottle is the only part that COULD be tipped, but it would almost have to be deliberate. A curious child would be my only concern.

Which filters should I purchase to use with the Drinkwell Big Dog Pet Water Fountains? Also, is there any reason a smaller dog (9 pound) cannot use this water fountain?
Joanne F on May 29, 2015
Best Answer: Use the drinkwell charcoal filters, they come in a 3-pack. Our drinkwell fountain is used in a multi-cat household ranging in weight from 5-15 pounds. The big dog drinkwell holds more water than the popular cat fountains.

What is the durability of the motor like? I bought a fountain from a national pet store chain and it has stopped working.
A shopper on Mar 20, 2015
Best Answer: Mine is going on a couple of years now. I can't say all the same about the various smaller ones i've had. I replaced those motors on a regular basis. I've had no problems with this big one. I love it and the two big dogs love it and the Yorkie who thinks he's a big dog loves it too.
