Dog Games Slo-Bowl Flower Style Slow Feeder Dog Bowl

Dog Games Slo-Bowl Flower Bowl is the natural way for a dog to eat. Feeding natural food doesn't guarantee that they are eating naturally. Dogs today woof down their meal in a matter of moments, which can cause a number of health and digestive issues. By requiring them to scavenge for their feast, Slo-Bowl forces dogs to eat their food the way nature intended. Not only is it designed to put the brakes on overeager eaters, it also makes a game out of feeding time. Dogs learn to chase their food through a maze of ridges and valleys, making dinnertime feel more like a hunt. Slo-Bowl rewards their play with bits of food, enticing your dog to become more and more engaged as the meal goes on. Foraging for every bite, your dog will eat a healthier, more balanced meal. A non-slip rubber base will hold the bowl in place. It adds a bit of fun to every bite.

Have another of these bowls. They do help slow down gulpers and I like the designs and colors.

We have a 13 month old Sheltie who eats in gulps without chewing.

My dog gobbles down his food way to fast. I watched a video on youtube that showed how this bowl works and it took the dog over 5 minutes to eat his food versus the 1 and half minutes it took from a regular bowl. I cannot wait to try this bowl with my dog!

My Mom's been looking for the perfect way to get our little Rocky to slow down with his eating. This seems like it will be the perfect fun bowl. Also saw it featured on the Today Show!

I have two Boston terriers (they have short little snouts and squashy faces!). They both snork their food, so I'd like to get slow-feed bowls, but some of them are too deep for their little faces. Is this bowl too deep for a Boston? Thank you!

Best Answer: My dog is a chocolate lab so I don't have personal experience with Boston's but it is my opinion they would probably do just fine. The caverns in this bowl are about 1 1/2 inches deep (my eyeball guess)...I'm not sure if it is a matter of snout size and shape or more an issue of the tongue getting into the grooves to grab the food. I think the way the flower one is designed they would be able to get their tongue down in there and up against the sides to get the food out.

I will say that I absolutely love this bowl...it does exactly what it is supposed to do! My dog would inhale his food in literally seconds! Now it takes him a few minutes to eat it.
