Critter Nation Double Unit Cage

Midwest Metal has taken the design of their popular Ferret Nation, and applied it to accommodate a variety of small pets such as rats, chinchillas, and sugar gliders. The Critter Nation's bar spacing is smaller to keep the smaller pets from escaping and getting injured. Easy to assemble- no tools required! Interlocking panels safely and securely lock in place without the use of any screws, nuts, or bolts!

Product Features:

  • Full-width double doors that provide maximum accessibility for easy cleaning and feeding
  • Wide expanse shelf, full width plastic pan floor provides maximum play area to prevent dangerous falls
  • Swing-up locking ramps to secure sections for cleaning the cage, feeding, and separating critters
  • Critter-proof dual-locking door latches that provide secure, easy one-handed operation
  • Height adjustable shelves with removable plastic insert for easy cleaning
  • Multiple attaching points for accessories such as hammocks, tubes, and toys
  • Ramps specifically angled for pet's safety
  • Sturdy square tube frame and wire construction for maximum critter security
  • Easily maneuverable stand with locking casters
  • Underneath storage area for food and toys
  • Platinum Hammertone finish blends well with any decor

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Critter Nation RULES! Excellent, well made product. Hard for one person to put together because the sides had to be hammered a little with a rubber mallet. Otherwise easy to do. Now to home depot or lowes to buy a concrete mixer pan that will fit in the bottoms and the litter won't fly out. Very happy with this cage. April 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by PITA No tools needed! While true if you buy this cage you may want a rubber mallet or hammer with padding to pound some if the side panels into place they by no means slipped right in. I grabbed this cage while it was on sale and am so far very happy with the look of it once the cage was built the inner assembly went quickly. Instructions are kinda tough to follow but once you get past the first steps its just repeat, repeat, repeat. May want to have a second person help as lining up holes with pegs is a pain but after an hour the cage came together and now awaiting the arrival of my fuzzys from Vegas. November 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It!! Reading other reviews had me worried that the cage might be damaged upon arrival, but there was no damage except for the box. The cage assembled fairly easy with the help from a mallet. It even came with the ramp covers so my fuzzies won't get their feet caught :) We are all happy with this product! August 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by bought 4 of these cages First one arrived fine the last 3 boxes where mangeled (fed Ex) when I wrote ferret nation and sent photos of cracked and chipped trays and bent metal they did nothing!!! My only complaint with the cages is wish the trays where made of a flamica or smootH type material, it would make cleaning go faster. July 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome ferret home!! I've had this cage for 2 years and it has been wonderful, this is a heavy iron cage, not cheap in any way, easy, easy to clean and my boys love it! I'm positive it will last the lifetime of my ferrets and beyond! Again, this is no cheap lightweight cage, it's very heavy and rolls along on wheels, so nice!! You won't be sorry and your little guys will love you for it! June 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to assemble. The cage just arrived. Took me about 30 minutes to assemble - hardest part was getting it up the stairs because it's so heavy. I did us a rubber mallet twice to get the sides all the way in. Arrived in good shape. There is a chip in the one shelf but it doesn't affect anything - it's on the side of the shelf. Everything else was in perfect shape. Can't wait to see how our ferrets like it. So far I'm extremely happy with this cage. June 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing! My mother had order this cage for me as a Christmas gift. Assembly was easy. It's huge, and although I haven't had to clean it yet, it seems like it's going to be the easiest cage to clean ever! My only complaint was that two of the three floor pans were cracked when I received them. Unlike the other reviews with the complaints on the packaging I understand how difficult it would be the have this large and heavy of a cage arrive with zero damage. I simply emailed the customer service on the midwest homes for pets website and told them the issue. Within two days, I received a reply stating that they had already shipped out the replacement pans. Prompt and excellent customer service through the manufacturer made this cage even better to me. My mom also said how great the customer service had been. So all in all, regardless of poor packaging, this cage is well worth the large price tag. (Which also beats all other competitors at.) Number one priority- My rats love their new cage! December 28, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great cage My rats love the cage. Arrived with broken trays though and the door snaps do not line up. Had to do some rigging to get everything to fit. Otherwise a great cage. December 18, 2011
