My Master Hunter Yellow Labrador is a fussy eater. He loves Canidae ALS. It was recommended by a professional showring handler. His coat improved and herequires less food to stay in show shape. It has no fillers. With what you will save on vet bills, this is the best food for your money.

This dog food is extremely hard to find. I buy 15 lb bags for $25 at my local Olsen Grain store.
My 7 year old labrador/retriever mix absolutely loves this food; I usually mix in a quarter
can of the 12 oz. canidae ALS wet dog food, and sometimes boiled chicken as well. She tears through the mix as if it were a real animal! Her poop is always solid and as mentioned before, not smelly at all. She has been on this food all of her life, and I intend on keeping her on it! I wish it was slightly cheaper, but thats my only complaint.

I have two large breed dogs, a Rottweiler and a Golden Retriever, and they are both doing great on this food. They have beautiful coats and normal/small stools. My Rottie was previously on a very expensive food, Wellness Core, that he just wouldn't touch, but he loves this stuff. This stuff is also the cheapest quality dog food that I can find anywhere. Most dog food reviews rate Canidae ALS very highly. Petfood.com also did a great job shipping it to my place in a reasonable time.

I have two German Shephards and they love this food. They always eat it as soon as they are fed and never have any digestive issues (Gas). Highly recommend to picky eaters.

Rated by 5 out of 5 Roger G. Best Dog food ever!
I have a Bouvier and a German Shepperd. Their coats greatly improved with this dog food. The Bouvier hair is very soft now. The big thing is neither dog seems to have that "dog" smell anymore. They really have responded well to this dog food. I am very pleased with it and feel that it is worth the extra cost of buying it on line since I can't get it locally. Wish the shipping costs could be reduced though.

This is the only food my 4 year old Westie has ever eaten. Just last week a new groomer complimented him on his health and silky, whte coat. He just loves it.

Why did you choose this?
I HAVE READ A LOT OF REVIEWS HERE SAYING THAT THEIR DOG'S COAT HAD IMPROVED IMMENSLY AND I WAS WONDERLING ABOUT THAT.
I HAVE A BLUE PIT WHO IS 5 1/2 MO. OLD AND ALTHOUGH HE IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL ANIMAL, HIS COAT IS COURSE. COULD THIS BE TO HAVING A GRAY COAT? THE REASON I ASK THIS IS BECAUSE GRAY HAIR WITH HUMAN AS WE AGE, GETS COURSE TO THE TOUCH. THANK IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR REPLIES M.S.
Best Answer: Hi Mel S, We started feeding our dogs Canidae right when we got them, as we heard it would help keep them healthy by giving them lots of nutrients and protein. We have two Springer Spaniels, and they have been very healthy for the 8-9 years we've had them. They are 10 and 11 years old (rescue dogs). Their coats are very soft. You may be right on the gray hair, I don't know. I'd try a bag or two and see if your dog's coat changes. Mark W.
