This is the only food that doesn't give my three cats diarrhea, besides some wet foods. We really wanted to feed them more wet food but honestly couldn't afford it at the quality level we wanted to provide. We started adding hot water to this dry food and letting it soak up to make it softer. The cats seem to enjoy it more, but even better it provides more hydration and seems to reduce the vomiting that was common to my cats who tended to inhale their food. We feed them less of this food and they are satisfied, so that's one way we are saving considering the high price of this brand. The other way we are saving is on litter -- kittie "output" is less in volume and MUCH less in stink. OK, that was all the selfish human reasoning to buy this. I think they are overall more energetic (they are between 6-8 yrs old) and their coats are soft and shiny. I don't think my female loves it, but she eats it (she could stand to drop a few pounds anyway...) and my two boys will eat pretty much anything that tastes like fish.
This has been a lifesaver!
