They do not like it... , 12/31/2010

    Rebecca from

I got the grilled chicken for my ferrets Ares and Pandora… Guess what? They do not like it… I got this for a treat to train my ferrets with. I went threw and read all the reviews on treats and checking out what they have in them. If a ferret can not have vegetables or fruits and grain is not good. Soy is dangerous to them. I wanted to make sure everything fit what I was looking for as close to perfect as possible… This treat was it… Though I was upset to find that on the web site I did not see in the ingredients that there is SOY in this product… I decided that once in a while their should really be no issue… Well guess what? It is not an issues you know why? Ares and Pandora will NOT ear these treats. They sniff them. I break a piece off and place it in their mouth and they spit it out… When I got Ares to actually try it he gagged on the taste of it… IDK why but he did… IDK what to tell you really just that my ferrets did not like this treat at all…

My ferrets dont really care for this treat either way. They will eat them if they sit there long enough otherwise they are not really interested. After doing more research on ferrets I have found out that even though they supposedly like fruit ( I got the banana-raisin kind), its not really good for them. Great buy though, and it says high in protein which is great to give them. I think I will probably just stick with what I know is good for them....N-Bone, they LOVE their N-Bone chicken treats.

The Old treats were better, 8/18/2009

About 4-5 years ago, 8-n-1 changed their treats (they claimed they only changed the packaging, but the shape of the treat changed, along with the color and smell). My ferrets loved the old treats--they will not touch the new formula. We switched to Bandits. The fuzzies like them but not as much as they loved the old 8-n-1s

    Excellent, 8/12/2006

    Kim from Tucson, AZ

I'm on ferret #4, and all have been picky when it comes to treats. None will eat Bandits, which ferrets are supposed to love. Ferret Bites however have been a big hit. I like the fact that the pieces are good size and soft, and come in 2 flavors. The ferrets enjoy them so much that they will actually stand up to receive the treat. If you have never tried this product, it's definitely worth checking out.
