Rated 5 out of 5 by 812068 I have had many ferrets over the years, and have used this food along with others, and it is a quality food, how ever some ferrets are picky, some of my ferrets would not touch it, but most of them loved it! This food and Marshall ferret diet are the top two foods I use both are excellent foods this is soft and Marshall is a dry food I mix the 2 together. This food is great for young baby ferrets and senior old ferrets, also sick ones. I have 2 right now that I am nursing back to health and this is all they will eat! They love it! This canned food is an excellent choice to feed your ferret. How ever try one can first it may take time for ferret to try it some ferrets take to it and love it others are picky eaters, it depends on the ferret really but this is a great Food which I highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for seniors! My senior (9 years old)ferret loves this food. He struggles to eat the dry food that is always available to him and his friends and so i give this to him twice a day and have seen a weight gain and improved coat. I give a heaping tablespoon that is heated in the microwave for 5 seconds twice a day. The younger ferrets don't much care for this food but my old guy loves it! December 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by my little buddy loves it! my ferret started to lose some weight and he didn't seem to be interested in his regular ferret food, so i bought this to try to get him to eat. he didn't like it at first but now he LOVES it and he gained his weight back! :) July 29, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Wouldn't touch it I bought this food to get my ferret used to different textures, just in case he ever got sick and I had to feed him soft food. He wouldn't touch this! He eat raw treats, chicken baby food, and scrambled eggs without a second glance so I was suprised when he ignored this. I guess we'll stick to baby food for soupies. And why does this have "chocolate flavor"?? Ferrets can't have chocolate. February 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great dinner My three ferrets love this can food. They like it best when I add a little hot water to it to make a "gravy" with it. I feed it twice a day every day. October 10, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Really??? I bought 12 cans of this food based on the reviews of others and shipping costs; I thought "hey, I have 5 ferrets surely they will like it". Big mistake! I have 3 sables and 2 whites and not one of them would eat it!!! And I can't return it because it's a food item. Before buying a stock of it try 1 first. My cat barely eats it so this was a costly mistake on my part. Just beware! December 19, 2010

Rated 4 out of 5 by Helped Me Feeling Better Hi, my name is Durango and I am an 8 yr old ferret. I have been very sick for the last 4 weeks. I also ended up at the vets for 4 days. I had lost an awful amount of weight. My mom took me home with my perscriptions. Vet said to feed me gerber baby food(chicken rice or turkey rice stage 2) until I got my strength back. Took me quite awhile. Then my mom introduced me to Ferret Diet. I did not like it at first. She mixed a little with the baby food in at a time and warmed it up for me in the micro. I'm doing alot better now and have got back my strength. Still have a ways to go but I do love it now. Just tell mom to introduce it a little at a time. Oh, she also adds a little fish oil too. Hope this helps the sick guys out there. Love always Durango. September 25, 2009

Why did you choose this? Store
One of our 6 ferrets is getting older and the crunchy food seemed to be hard to eat for him. We bought this to hopefully allow him to eat more without hurting his teeth. The only issue we have is all the other fuzz want a taste too!

It's really hard to find in stores here in town, so if the kids are ever sick I have to use a can of Canine CD wet food from our vet. I try to always keep a can of the wet ferret diet on hand, just in case!!
